Cardano Founder Opens Wyoming Policy Center to Drive Innovation
Cardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson has announced the launch of the Hoskinson Government and Policy Center in Wyoming, signaling a renewed, formal commitment to influencing state policy and promoting technological innovation. This move comes as the ADA community watches for developments that could bolster the Cardano ecosystem and potentially impact the price of its native token.
A Focus on State Policy and Transparency
The new Policy Center will concentrate its efforts on state government relations in Wyoming, a state where has already made substantial personal investments, including the establishment of a state-of-the-art medical clinic and the ownership of a bison ranch.
The center has immediate goals, such as pushing for legislation that ensures access to stem cell therapy in Wyoming. Hoskinson stated: “I’ve invested my time and resources here in Wyoming because I believe this state can lead the nation in responsible innovation. Through the policy center, we will work to strengthen rural health care, modernize agriculture, and improve government transparency — proving that with smart legislation and the right technology, Wyoming can set the standard for how decentralized systems can deliver beneficial change in all walks of life.”
Led by Political Veterans
To steer this ambitious project, Hoskinson has appointed seasoned government veterans. Karen Wheeler, the former Deputy Secretary of State of Wyoming with 37 years of experience, will serve as the Executive Director. Additionally, Kendrick Ladd, a licensed Wyoming attorney and former U.S. Army Officer, will take on the role of General Counsel and Head of Policy.
The Policy Center will also coordinate with Hoskinson’s previously established Wyoming Integrity Political Action Committee (PAC) throughout the 2026 election cycle, with the clear aim of fostering ethical and equitable procurement practices. This focus on local governance and transparent policies is a crucial step toward solidifying Wyoming’s position as a hub for blockchain and digital innovation, which could indirectly benefit the broader Cardano network by showcasing real-world, government-level applications of decentralized systems.
